Hi!

These people are worth visiting (because they are my friends, or because they make great art, or both :) ), in no particular order.

Back from England

Sun Sep 4, 2005, 12:55 PM
Well, I am back. I have enjoyed the whole trip a lot, mainly because being there by car, we were able to see a lot of different places and I could take a lot of pictures. Right now, I am in the process of sorting them out and deciding which ones are worth publishing. Some are already out, so make sure to check them out and comment (no, really :) ).

And now, something completely different.

Who am I?

I'm a guy from eastern Slovakia ([link]), born in 1984, currently student of computer science (software development) and webmaster of a fairly popular slovak website about fantasy and science fiction ([link]) and several other websites. I also have a personal website (written in slovak language) at [link] .

I also write, both as an artist (very rarely lately) and as an editor (more and more lately). My personal love and passion however, is photography. I own a mediocre Olympus C-740 and a tripod (called Jozef, or Joseph) and I try to take them everywhere I go. I've never taken any courses or classes in photography, so I am really an amateur in the purest possible sense (though I do plan to take some in future).

I am also skinny as hell and grow a goatee. :)

Other that that, though, I am quite normal. :)

I have friends (no, really, I do), tend to dance wildly when left alone for longer periods of time, like to sleep and relax a lot, love to read, hike, cycle and ski and know most books from the Discworld series almost by heart, as well as most epizodes of Futurama and Monty Python: the Flying Circus.

What else is there to say?

Well hello there, deviantART!

Sat Aug 13, 2005, 2:36 AM
EDIT (13th of august 2005): I am going on a vacation today and won't be back until september, so I won't be able to respond to your comments and notes. But please, do comment anyway. :) Thanks!

I feel lost and amazed at the same time.

I've been sent here by a friend of mine (hi nage!), without knowing anything about the site and its users.

It seems that I have arrived at the time of great internal turmoil, and even though I have not yet taken any stances in the "Yellow Alien debacle", I must say that I have never been a member of a community so caring and lively as this one.

Maybe "amazed" is not strong enough. I should have said "astonished".

I am here for less than 24 hours and I have already recieved a lot of feedback, many words of warm welcome and more art than I could view in a lifetime.

I bow my head down before you, deviantART.
